Border Patrol agents come under fire while working along southern border

CBP said its agents were involved in a “use-of-force incident while responding to a report of shots fired near the border of its jurisdiction at Ysleta, Texas.”

Sources confirmed that CBP agents fired back.

The agency said no staff members were injured in the incident and an investigation is ongoing.

“There are no reports of injuries at this time,” CBP said in a statement. “This incident is under investigation by Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Professional Responsibility.”
