Controversial boxer Ryan Garcia’s career has taken another hit.

World Boxing Council (WBC) president Mauricio Sulaiman announced on Thursday that Garcia, 25, had been expelled from the WBC after he repeatedly made racist comments about both blacks and Muslims on social media.
“In my authority as WBC President, I am expelling Ryan Garcia from all WBC activities,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman wrote on Twitter.
“We reject any discrimination.”
The ban came after Garcia, who has more than 1 million followers, repeatedly used the N-word and referred to himself as a “KKK” during a conversation on a multi-person X-Space live feed.
Garcia posted on X before the suspension was announced, claiming he was “trolling,” though it’s unclear if he was referring to that specific conversation in the space.
“I was just trolling. I wish the killing would stop,” Garcia wrote. “I love you all and am sorry if I caused any offense.”
“You have to understand the pain, the deep pain I feel every race. I am hurting. I love you guys. Have a great day,” he added in another post.
Garcia defeated WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney at Barclays Center in April.
However, the bout was ruled a no contest in June after Garcia was suspended for one year by the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs after the brawl.
As a result, he was fined $10,000 by the NYSAC.
June 8NumberGarcia was also arrested for felony criminal damage to property after the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, California, claimed he was liable for $15,000 in property damage.
