“Brace for impact”: Glenn Beck gives a warning he hasn’t issued since 2007

The U.K. government launched its Be Ready campaign on October 22, beginning a three-year effort to encourage households to prepare for as much as three days without essential services. The advice is to keep supplies such as drinking water, food that can be eaten without refrigeration or cooking, a flashlight, medicine, a power bank, a battery or wind-up FM radio, and some cash.

Glenn Beck says similar guidance is being issued elsewhere in Europe. Germany recommends keeping supplies for 10 days, while France, Ireland and the Netherlands have urged residents to put together 72-hour emergency kits. Dutch officials have also advised people on how much cash to keep at home, he says.

Beck adds that the European Union has asked its 450 million residents to prepare for emergencies.

In September, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced FORTRESS America, an initiative aimed at helping major U.S. military bases operate independently of the civilian power grid. The program also focuses on protecting bases from cyberattacks and sabotage, and securing domestic supplies so installations could function for at least 90 days if civilian infrastructure failed.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell has said a future conflict could involve multiple fronts and disrupt international supply chains.

Beck points to several recent security incidents. On September 27, people living near RAF Fairford in England reported seeing masked men and white vans near the base perimeter. Five men were arrested on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act, and U.S. bombers that had been stationed there were later withdrawn.

On October 27, British authorities charged two 24-year-old men under the National Security Act in connection with the case. One is accused of helping Iranian intelligence. The prime minister said the alleged plot was almost certainly directed by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, amid a series of recent plots linked to Iran.

Last week, the U.S. military placed an Avenger air-defense system on a barge in the Intracoastal Waterway near Mar-a-Lago. NORAD said the deployment was requested by the Secret Service. Separately, an October 23 memo from the director of national intelligence warned that Iran had stepped up efforts to target Americans, with some plots reaching advanced stages.

“None of these stories mean the sky is falling,” Beck says. Still, he argues, taken together they point to a serious danger.

On his program, Beck says he is issuing a warning he has not made since 2007.

He connects the current concerns to what he describes as Europe’s long-term “managed decline,” citing mass migration, heavy debt, energy policies he considers damaging, and years of inadequate defense spending.

“And so what do you have?” he asks. “You have Islamists organizing in the open, telling you what they’re going to do. You have Marxists and communists now no longer bothering to hide what they want or who they are; they are telling you that they are going to overthrow the West and the United States of America.”

Beck says people who dismiss such threats are making a serious mistake. If someone threatens to kill you, harm your family or destroy your culture, he argues, you should take the threat seriously.

He believes the possibility of danger is one reason European governments are urging people to prepare, though he doubts leaders will openly explain it that way. As he puts it, a candid explanation would amount to an admission that officials had been wrong and should have listened to the public. Instead, people get advice about storing bottled water.

Beck says he hopes his fears are misplaced, but worries that a major war is approaching. It might not begin with tanks crossing a border, he says. It could take the form of sustained disruption: suspicious activity near air bases, attacks on synagogues, efforts to damage power and water systems, or unrest in neighborhoods where authorities struggle to maintain control.

He warns that the United States is not insulated from these risks. “I beg you, please don’t write this off. The radicals are already inside our house. They are all over the West. And that includes here,” he says.

With midterm elections only days away, Beck says the results might slow the situation, but only if voters make what he considers the right choice. If the election goes badly, he warns, the country should not expect a mild correction. He says radicals have already called for abolishing the Senate and ICE, eliminating the border, and treating political power as permission to act without restraint.

“Prepare for impact,” Beck says.
