Although Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not officially divorced, the “Bullet Train” star may still marry his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon.
Pitt and Ramon’s relationship was confirmed in November 2022, and the two were seen together at the British Grand Prix on July 7. Pitt and Jolie were declared legally single in 2019, meaning Pitt could marry Ramon if he wanted, but their divorce proceedings have dragged on.
“Being declared legally single in 2019 has the advantage that couples can move forward with their lives and at least consider themselves separated and unmarried,” Kara Krobak, a divorce attorney and shareholder in Buchalter’s Denver office, explained to Fox News Digital.
Pitt and De Ramon don’t seem to be in any rush to get involved in a relationship, a source told Us Weekly.

“Brad and Inez both feel like they’ve met the love of their lives,” a source said, while another added that the couple “are not pushing for an engagement. They know how serious they are.” [about each other]; You don’t need a ring to prove it.”
Pitt and Jolie’s decision to remain legally single is not unusual, as it allows both of them to remarry while their divorces continue.
“Becoming legally single instantly grants you personal independence and frees you from the legal constraints of marriage,” certified financial planner Shinobu Hindert told Fox News Digital. “This allows couples to start new relationships or remarry without the complications of still being legally married. It is also a strategic move, separating personal status from complex asset division and custody battles, allowing each aspect to be addressed separately.”

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan were also declared legally single by a judge in 2019. Dewan filed for divorce in October 2018, six months after the couple announced their separation.
Dewan’s legal single status comes one month after she announced she was expecting a child with her new boyfriend, Steve Kazee. The Shameless star proposed to Dewan in 2020. The couple has since welcomed their second child together.

“The Rookie” star is able to move on with Kazee without settling their divorce, which has been going on for nearly six years. Dewan and Tatum appear to be stuck with the actor’s “Magic Mike” earnings. According to E! News, Dewan filed a complaint in May seeking a cut of Tatum’s gross earnings from the film series.
Tatum denied Dewan’s allegations, saying he always agreed that Dewan had an “interest” in the intellectual property of “Magic Mike.”
“Divorce proceedings can take years until all issues are resolved,” California divorce lawyer Christopher C. Melcher told Fox News Digital. “Some people don’t want to wait that long because they want to meet someone else and remarry, even while their lawsuit against their ex-spouse is ongoing. The law allows for a marriage to be dissolved before other issues are resolved. Otherwise, spouses would remain tied to the marriage for years after separation until the last issues are resolved.”

One of the things I learned from the last situation is that the media made me feel like I was in a committed relationship too quickly,” Kardashian said in a 2023 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “You just want to be a little sneaky. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be sneaky.”
