Brandon Ingram’s Incident Leads to Fine and Game Pause

Brandon Ingram, the Toronto Raptors star, faced a $25,000 fine after an outburst during a game where he spiked a water bottle in frustration, hitting a staff member. This incident caused a brief pause in the game for cleanup.

Teammate Scottie Burns found himself in a precarious situation as well.

Ingram, who sat on the bench afterward, watched as staff members cleaned up the chaos he created, which included attending to the individual he struck. There hasn’t been any word on whether he has offered an apology for his actions, and naturally, social media users were quick to call him out for what many perceived as immaturity.

Despite the drama, Ingram managed to score 21 points and grab eight rebounds in 37 minutes, contributing to the 76ers’ 130-120 victory.

Ingram, who joined the Raptors in the offseason on a three-year, $120 million contract, has now played in 10 games with the team, averaging 21 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4 assists. The Raptors dropped this game, bringing their record to 5-5, while the 76ers improved to 6-3. Ingram and his team will attempt to bounce back in their next game against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night.
