Brandon Ingram’s Frustration Leads to Accidental Incident
During a recent game, Toronto Raptors player Brandon Ingram expressed his frustration by slamming his water bottle on the floor, unintentionally hitting a staff member in the face.
This moment was captured by TSN as Ingram returned to the bench. After sitting down, he picked up his bottle and, well, spiked it down hard. The bottle bounced back and struck a staff member right in the face.
The game was briefly paused while staff members cleaned up the wet floor. Ingram stayed on the bench, watching the scene unfold, including the staff member he inadvertently hit cleaning up the water.
It’s not clear if Ingram has offered an apology for the incident.
Ingram had a solid performance, scoring 21 points and pulling down eight rebounds in 37 minutes, but the Raptors ultimately lost to the Philadelphia 76ers with a score of 130-120.
In a dramatic finish, the Raptors narrowed the 76ers’ lead to just three points with 3:25 remaining. However, Philadelphia quickly responded, scoring six unanswered points, including contributions from VJ Edgecomb, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Joel Embiid.
The 76ers then extended their lead to nine points with just over a minute left, cementing their victory. Embiid led Philadelphia with 29 points, while Tyrese Maxey added 31.
Ingram joined the Raptors this offseason, signing a three-year contract worth $120 million. So far, he’s played in 10 games, averaging 21 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4 assists.
With this loss, the Raptors now hold a record of 5 wins and 5 losses, while the 76ers improve to 6 wins and 3 losses.
