Incident at Walmart Involving Former Reality TV Star
A former Bravo reality star is facing serious allegations after an incident at a Walmart in Tennessee, where he reportedly attacked a customer with socks filled with rocks, before stealing her iPhone and Louis Vuitton handbag.
Diamond Tintando, 21, allegedly approached the victim from behind while she was at a self-checkout in Antioch, which is about seven miles from Nashville International Airport. According to reports, he grabbed her hair during the altercation.
Tintando, known for her appearance in “Thicker than Water” as the granddaughter of gospel producer Ben Tantando, was caught on security footage attacking the victim, driving her to the ground in a series of aggressive punches.
The video reportedly shows Tintando wielding striped socks, hitting the victim and other individuals nearby. Interestingly, he was seen wearing an ankle monitor during the attack.
After the confrontation, Tintando allegedly collected items from the ground. The victim later informed the police that he had taken a $1,500 iPhone and a $900 handbag.
The victim’s grandmother claimed to the authorities that her granddaughter was struck by rocks-filled socks, resulting in a significant cut on her forehead above her left eye. Emergency medical services transported the woman to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Nashville police were provided with security footage from Walmart, which they say corroborated both the victim’s and her grandmother’s statements.
Tintando was arrested and booked at the Davidson County Jail, facing charges of theft and aggravated assault using a deadly weapon. He was released on a $25,000 bond, with a court appearance scheduled for August 22nd.
The motivation behind the attack remains unclear at this time.
In a previous incident last December, Tintando faced charges of attempted first-degree murder for allegedly running down a woman with a vehicle following an altercation.
Authorities noted that Tintando had worn an ankle monitor previously for domestic assault-related arrests linked to the attempted murder case, alongside accusations of fleeing the scene without rendering assistance.
Tintando appeared in all 27 episodes of “Thicker than Water,” a show that chronicled the life of a former NBA player turned gospel music producer and his family in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, airing from 2013 to 2016.
