Brawl erupts in Ohio courtroom during suspected murderer’s hearing

A dramatic video surfaced from an Ohio courtroom where a confrontation broke out as the accused murderer faced charges just hours after allegedly admitting to shooting his teenage neighbor.

The incident unfolded when 38-year-old Dominic Ellahee made his first appearance at the Hamilton County Courthouse in Cincinnati. According to reports, tensions escalated in the audience, particularly among the loved ones of the victim.

During the hearing, a man in a black hoodie began wandering through the audience area, which prompted some chaos as others rushed to intervene.

Footage captured dozens of individuals, including several women, engaging in a physical altercation, with court officials struggling to contain the brawl.

The sheriff’s department later confirmed that no arrests were made, despite the disruption of the proceedings.

Ellahee is charged with deliberately shooting 18-year-old Jaden Smith in the chest, according to an official affidavit. He was apprehended shortly after the incident occurred, with charges stemming from various investigative findings and the victim’s death.

Details emerged that Ellahee’s defense claims Smith was armed and approached him at his apartment, which led him to act in self-defense, although police found no weapon at the scene.

An audience member reportedly made a gesture mimicking a gun, triggering at least twelve individuals to start fighting.

Ellahee is set to return to court on May 15. A 911 call from the event captured the moment a bullet struck a neighbor’s door amid the shooting.

Witnesses described hearing loud gunfire, with one individual noting, “I think the bullet actually went through my front door.” They recounted hearing cries and the sound of footsteps fleeing the scene.
