The South Carolina Gamecocks have secured the contract of 2025 four-star wide receiver Donovan Murph, the team announced Thursday at the Under Armor National Game.
Murph, ranked No. 4 in South Carolina, is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound wide receiver who was considered a top-250 recruit overall in the 2025 class.
Shamcox had been attracting attention from South Carolina players, but this addition has been linked to South Carolina, Clemson, Ole MissColorado State and Tennessee round out the top five for the four-star receiver.
In the end, the commitment appears to have come down to two schools in the state, with the Tigers also making a push for the wideout after bringing him to campus for an official visit this fall.
Murph was originally part of the 2026 recruiting class, but due to his reclassification, he will take official visits to both Clemson and South Carolina this November before landing with the Shamcocks.
Murph, who holds 31 scholarship offers, including scholarships from numerous schools in the SEC and Power 4, joins head coach Shane Beamer's strong recruiting class that currently ranks in the top 25 classes in the cycle I will.
