Brewers Supporter Fired for Telling Dodgers Fan to 'Call ICE'

A woman was recently identified and dismissed from her job after making derogatory comments towards Dodgers fans during a baseball game.

While attending a playoff game between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers at American Family Field, a woman donned in a Brewers uniform targeted Dodgers fans of Hispanic descent.

She responded to Dodgers fan Ricardo Fossado, who was teasing Brewers supporters, with her own jibe.

Brewers fans retaliated with chants like, “Real men drink beer, jerk.”

The woman then suggested, “You know what? Let’s call ICE.”

In an impassioned reply, Fossado, a U.S. Navy veteran, urged, “Call ICE. Call ICE. I’m an American citizen, I’ve served in two wars. They won’t do anything to me. Good luck!”

It seems the woman subsequently alerted security, leading to Fossado being escorted from his seat.

After the video circulated online, her identity was revealed, resulting in Shannon Kobilarchik losing her job at both of her workplaces.

Kobilarchik had been employed by the staffing company ManpowerGroup, but her profile has since been removed from their site.

In a statement, ManpowerGroup noted, “Upon learning of this video, the individual was placed on administrative leave, and an investigation commenced. As a result, the employee has since departed. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of respect, integrity, and accountability.”

Additionally, she was taken off the board of directors at Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.

Despite the outcome, Fossado expressed disappointment over Kobilarchik’s circumstances, acknowledging the situation as an emotional one. “It wasn’t enough to merit her firing. I feel for her,” he stated. “You can’t judge someone based on a single mistake, especially when emotions run high. Nobody got hurt physically.”
