The Giants are still waiting on Brian Barnes' first impact performance, but the $141 million salary edge rusher won't be fully healthy entering Sunday's game against the Browns.
Barnes was added late to the Giants' injured list on Friday and is listed as questionable for the game at Cleveland with a groin injury.
Barnes, acquired from the Panthers in March, recorded seven total tackles and zero sacks during the Giants' 0-2 start.
He averaged 9.5 sacks over his past four seasons with Carolina.

Kayvon Thibodeau (shoulder) was limited in practice earlier this week but is not listed on the injured list and is expected to play against the Browns.
Darius Slayton said he spoke with Malik Neighbors after last week's game, when Neighbors made a key mistake late in a loss to the Commanders.
Neighbors finished with 10 receptions for 127 yards, including his first NFL touchdown.
“We're going to drop the ball, we're going to drop it again at some point this year,” Slayton said. “Damn, we dropped the ball on the two-point conversion, so we were definitely not in a position to tell him to catch the ball.”
“I try to impart some wisdom to him. The moment may feel like it lasts forever, but the season is long. That's all I tell him: forget about it, you've got a chance to make a lot of plays here.”
Brian Daboll called Slayton “a good leader in the room,” and Daniel Jones said he has “a lot of confidence” in the sixth-year veteran.
“It's a really tight-knit team. He's been around for a while now. Same with Slay,” Daboll said. “He's got experience. He's been around here, he understands things, he's a confident player, he's got good leadership skills, he's a veteran who's been around this for a long time and has been a player.”
Defensive back Isaiah Simmons returned to practice after missing Thursday's practice for personal reasons.
Defensive back Nick McCloud (knee) remains out.
