British tourist has airport meltdown during arrest, causing cocaine to fall from his pocket

British tourists lost their composure while passing airport security before throwing tantrums that allegedly dropped cocaine from their pockets.

Mark Patrick Wharton, 42, had flew from Shanghai, China to Thailand, when a suspicious officer pulled him aside.

The footage shows the man lying on his back as he desperately slapped his chest during the incident on February 18th, lying on his back in search of help.

He kicked his leg into the sky, crying in panic that he was planning to die.

However, he was arrested and taken into custody to await a court hearing.

Police at Phuket International Airport said they tested the white powder he allegedly dropped and confirmed it was cocaine.

Officials said the man arrived from Shanghai on Phuket Island on Juneyao Airmail 1323, but suspected cocaine evaded the communist police.

Akkarapon Akkraphon police, airport immigration checkpoint inspector, said: He was handed over to the Sahu Police Station inquiry officer for legal action. ”

Cocaine is classified as a “category 2” drug under Thai law. Importers, producers and exporters face prison sentences depending on the amount, most serious, behind bars.
