British woman visiting American dad in Texas found dead in his home

Fox News Digital confirmed that the father of a 23-year-old British woman who visited her on a US holiday was determined to be murder.

Lucy Harrison, from Cheshire County, England, was found at her father's home in Prospero, Texas on January 10, Cheshire Constabrary said on her release.

Harrison died of a gunshot wound to the chest, according to an autopsy report from Collin County Medical Examiner obtained by Fox News Digital. The autopsy discovered that she was “shotted by another person.”

Details about how Harrison was shot were not included, and no mention of the ongoing criminal investigation was made. In a statement from Fox News Digital, Prosper of Prosper said a “full investigation” into a “tragic incident” was conducted by the Prosper Police Department and the files were handed over to the Colin County District Attorney for review. Prosecutors reported at the autopsy on January 23 that the bullet had entered the right side of his chest and came out from the left side of his back.

The autopsy also found that Harrison was positive for caffeine consumption, but found to be negative for ethanol, nicotine, illegal drugs and prescription drugs.

After her death, an investigation was launched by the Collin County District Attorney's Office. The investigation was also held at a scheduled hearing at the UK Warrington Coroner Court on March 28th.

“She was a great contradiction. She was experiencing a new place and culture away from travel, but at the same time she loved nothing other than having a candle and snuggling into her pajamas at home. That was the case,” the family said. .

The family said she “really thriving in life” before she died.

“She could be as dramatic and elaborate as the end of the world, but she may not be afraid to speak straight and have bold conversations,” the family said. “We are totally heartbroken at the loss of such a beautiful, gorgeous mood.”
