The Denver Broncos have agreed to send 2020 first-round pick Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for two draft picks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter added that the Broncos will receive a 2024 fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick from the Browns in exchange for Jeudy.
The deal will not be officially announced until March 13, when the new league year begins.

The Browns attempted to trade Jeudy at last year’s NFL trade deadline, but the two sides were unable to come to an agreement. Interest in Cleveland remained, and this time the price was right.
Interest in a trade for Jeudy has been clear around the league for some time. By doing so now, the Broncos would save $12.987 million in cap space in 2024, making it a win-win situation. Jeudy gets a fresh start in the final year of his rookie contract, while Denver has more room to work with as free agency approaches March 13th.
Broncos legend Carl Mecklenburg furious at Russell Wilson: ‘He’s not a leader’
Jeudy, the No. 15 overall pick in the 2020 draft from Alabama, is a 6-foot-1, 193-pound speed receiver who racked up back-to-back 1,000-plus receiving yards in college.
However, Jeudy has yet to have a 1,000-yard season in his NFL career, and that’s due to a combination of factors.
The first was Jeudy’s inconsistent quarterback play since arriving in Denver. He had 113 targets in his rookie season with a number of quarterbacks at the helm, including Drew Lock, Jeff Driskel and Brett Rypien. He caught 52 of those targets and gained 856 yards, including three touchdowns.

Due to injuries in 2021, he started only five games and played in 10 games, gaining 467 yards and no touchdowns.
When Russell Wilson took over in 2022, Jeudy’s stock rose as he set career bests in receptions (67), yards (972) and touchdowns (6). However, this was a rough year for the Broncos, and although the team was expected to be better with Wilson leading the offense, they finished 5-12 that year.
Courtland Sutton replaced Jeudy as the Broncos’ top target last season, with the latter finishing with 54 catches (87 targets) for 758 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games. The Broncos’ offense was a conservative group as a whole, relying heavily on the run game to get the job done in a non-playoff season.
Jeudy heads to a Browns team with firepower throughout the offense, but what quarterback Deshaun Watson can do with that team remains to be seen after his lackluster second year in Cleveland ended early with a shoulder injury. still unknown.

Jeudy joins Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore on the wide receiver front, who had five touchdowns and 1,250 yards in the regular season last season. Tight end David Njoku is also a receiving threat, while Nick Chubb is looking to return from a knee injury next season with Jerome Ford in the backfield.
