The Broncos may not be done adding to their quarterback depth just yet.
NFL insider Albert Breer reported on Tuesday. The Broncos were reportedly “secretly” investigating Oregon quarterback Bo Nix.
Denver has the 12th overall pick in the draft that begins Thursday.
Denver, which added Zach Wilson to its quarterback stable after finalizing a deal with the Jets to take the former No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, will play the Knicks before the coach’s contingent on March 7. There appears to be some interest from the Broncos, but without a second-round pick to negotiate with, there may be a limit to what they can do regarding promotion.
The Knicks are likely to go somewhere in the first or second round — although the Post’s Steve Serby plans to send him to the Broncos. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. I project him to go to the Giants at No. 33 overall, but it’s a little unclear to anyone if he’ll be there when the Broncos make their pick.
Knicks threw for 4,508 yards last season while scoring 45 touchdowns and three interceptions.
The Broncos are doing their due diligence at the quarterback position ahead of this week’s draft, and have already met or visited with some of the top players at the position.

They met with LSU’s Jaden Daniels, attended North Carolina’s Drake Maye’s pro day, had a private workout with Michigan’s JJ McCarthy and hosted a top-30 visit from Washington’s Michael Penix Jr.
As for Wilson, he never became the franchise quarterback the Jets had envisioned and was a huge disappointment for Gang Green.
He now joins a quarterback group in Denver that includes Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci.
