Bronny James gets love note from girlfriend Parker Whitfield

Bronny James and Parker Whitfield have made their dating rumors public as James begins his professional basketball career with his father on the Lakers.

On Thursday, which was National Boyfriend Day, Whitfield posted a photo with Bronny and Mickey Mouse and captioned it, “Boyfriend Day!” I love you! @Bronny. ”

Bronny reposted the note and added the caption, “I love you, baby.”

Bronny and Whitfield have been rumored to be a couple ever since they sat together at a Team USA game during the Paris Olympics in the summer.

Whitfield, a student at HBCU Spelman College in Atlanta, is the daughter of actress Sally Richardson-Whitfield and actor Dondre T. Whitfield.

Whitfield and James attended Sierra Canyon High School together in Los Angeles.

James, the son of Lakers superstar LeBron James, was selected 55th overall in this year's NBA Draft after playing one season at USC.

He signed a four-year contract worth $7.9 million, which became non-guaranteed last season.

During Summer League in Las Vegas in July, he indicated he was open to the possibility of playing in the G League this season.

“I'm just looking forward to the basketball I'm going to play,” Bronny said at the time. “It doesn’t matter what level I’m playing at.”

During the pre-draft NBA Scouting Combine, Bronny spoke about his ambitions in professional basketball.

“I just… want people to know my name is Bronny James and not be identified as just LeBron James' son,” he said at the time. “I'd be happy to be in the league rather than thinking about playing with my dad. But that's not my mindset at all. I'm just trying to put in the work and see where it goes.

“My dream was always to get my name out there and make a name for myself.”
