Bronny James needs to be selected in the first round of the NBA Draft, if he is even drafted, amid rumors that he could join his father on the team to start the 2024-25 season. It may be a struggle.
James suffered a cardiac arrest during preseason training before his freshman season at the University of Southern California, but ultimately played in 25 games for the Trojans, averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. .

“My dream was always to get my name out there, make a name for myself, and of course go to the NBA,” Bronny James said Tuesday. “I never thought about playing with my dad, but of course he brought it up a few times.
“This is a serious business. I don’t think it’s possible to think, ‘I’m going to draft this kid just to get a father.'” I don’t think a GM would really allow that, but I’ve tried. I think I’ll be drafted not just for the player I am, but for the person I am. ”

Bronny James participated in the NBA Scouting Combine. His height was 6 feet 1.5 inches, although he was listed as 6 feet 4 inches at the University of Southern California. He had a vertical jump of 40.5 inches.
“What happens to me is great in the sense that I’m grateful for everything,” he said. “I took the opportunity and I’m so grateful for everything that was given to me.”
The Atlanta Hawks currently have the No. 1 pick in the draft, but most mock drafts have Bronny James selected in the second round.
