The Bronny James experiment seems to be working for the Lakers, with the rookie having the best performance of his career in the G League, including the Poster Jam.
James has bounced back and forth between the Lakers and the G League, and the son of LeBron James is back with the South Bay Lakers as a six-game road trip begins in Los Angeles.
He improved South Bay's record to 2-7 with a 122-101 victory over Rip City Remix on Friday night, much to the excitement of fans at the UCLA Health Training Center in Los Angeles.
Bronny James scored a career-high 31 points on 5-of-11 shooting from behind the arc in his first game with the team since Dec. 21.
His night was highlighted by Sterling Mannery's emphatic dunk after Christian Koloco dribbled through a screen to tie the game at 80-80 and give South Bay a 9-4 lead. Ta.
“I'm just trying to get my confidence back,” Bronny James said. in an on-court interview. “I'm just trying to play my game. Learn from every game. Learn from the Lakers, learn from the veterans and keep trying to be yourself while I'm not playing in the G League.” It's been working for me lately. I'm happy with my results.”

He and Bronny became the first father and son to play together in an NBA game.
Bronny James is averaging 14.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in seven G League games. He appeared in five games for the Lakers, averaging 0.3 points per game while playing just 11 minutes.
Quincy Olivari had 20 points and seven rebounds off the bench for the Southboys, and Alex Reese scored a game-high 32 points for Rip City.
If Bronny James does return to the Lakers, it likely won't happen until he returns to Los Angeles for a road game against the rival Clippers on February 4th.
