911 call released in NJ therapist’s killing
WARNING, GRAPHIC CONTENT: Authorities have made public the intense 911 call placed by Conor Hanlon, the husband of therapist Brooke Hanlon, after he discovered her stabbed to death in their New Jersey home. His distressed voice in the recording captures the urgency of the situation.
The autopsy results for a new mother, brutally murdered in her home, provide further insight into this tragic case. Brooke Hanlon, 35, was found dead in her residence on Pottersville Road in Chester, New Jersey, leaving behind a one-year-old daughter. Her husband, Conor, has publicly denied being involved in her death.
The examination, performed by Morris County medical examiner Dr. Di Wang on June 7, the day after Hanlon’s body was discovered, confirms that “sharp force injuries” were the cause of her death, according to a report.
The incident has prompted an active investigation, yet at this point, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been identified. The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office continues to look into the matter, but updates have been scarce.
Jennifer Payne, who was a close friend of Hanlon’s, expressed her feelings about the lack of progress, stating it has been “confusing, heartbreaking, and incredibly frustrating.” She shared exclusive photos with the media, reflecting on their friendship while also commenting on the unusual nature of this case.
Following the tragic event, it was reported that Conor Hanlon was the first to find Brooke unresponsive. In the chaotic 911 call, he describes a “laceration” on her body as the operator guides him through CPR procedures.
Several months have passed since the murder, and neighbors have noted that Conor frequently returns to their home, having spent time alternating between Chester and the Boston area, where his family resides.
Brooke’s family has expressed their faith in law enforcement’s investigative efforts during this unsettling time.
