Spike Lee’s New Thriller Features Brooklyn Penthouse

In Spike Lee’s upcoming thriller, “Updated 2,” set against the vibrant backdrop of Brooklyn, Denzel Washington and $AP Rocky bring the streets to life. Interestingly, the stunning penthouse shown in the trailer isn’t just a set; it’s a real residence located in a sail-shaped tower called Olympia Dumbo, currently on the market for a cool $15 million.

This impressive Penthouse A covers the entire 33rd floor and boasts a ceiling height of up to 13 feet. It includes a private terrace of about 498 square feet, with the total living space stretching over 4,266 square feet.

The breathtaking views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges are genuine, adding a layer of authenticity that no green screens can replicate. The filming decorates the interiors, enhancing the visual appeal.

With four bedrooms and three and a half baths, the home welcomes guests through a private elevator landing and a formal foyer. The expansive living and dining area offers panoramic skyline views, making it quite the showcase.

Inside, the primary suite features a wet bar clad in Calacatta Vagli Oro Marble. There’s a beautifully designed kitchen by Workstead equipped with Gaggenau appliances, dual walk-in closets, and a luxurious stone bath complete with freestyle bathtubs and twin showers.

Residents of the building can enjoy over 38,000 square feet of amenities spread across three levels, including indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, steam rooms, juice bars, spin and boxing studios, and even bowling alleys. Families will appreciate the children’s play areas, and private parking is also available.

Listing agent John B. Gomez from Douglas Elliman handles the property. Interestingly, the neighboring Penthouse B also made an appearance in the film and was previously listed at $17.5 million before being taken off the market.

The storyline of “Two Best Lowest” features Washington as a music mogul embroiled in a ransom plot and has already garnered significant acclaim, scoring 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.
