Brooks Koepka gives big clue on future after Fred Couples’ PGA comments

PONTE VEDORA, Fla. — On Wednesday, Brooks Koepka dropped a serious hint that he would like to return to the PGA Tour once his LIV golf contract is over.

The five-time major championship winner has been the first to publicly respond to comments made by the Fred Couples recently about Koepka's desire to leave Livgolf and return to the PGA Tour.

Koepka will be speaking with reporters ahead of this week's LIV event in Singapore and may leave the door more than Ajar and return to mainstream tours when his LIV contract expires.

The couple made the news and disrupted some feathers when Koepka told the radio show “he said he wanted to go back (on the PGA Tour).”

Apparently enjoying his role as a paradox, Koepka is the only LIV player in his apparel who does not wear the LIV team logo and says, “I have a contractual obligation to meet here (in LIV).

It wasn't strong support for the tour backed by the Saudi Arabia, reporting $100 million to join in 2022. LIV has not revealed details of the contract, so although it is not known that Koepka's contract has expired, it is believed to be running until 2026.

“Everyone seems to have their own opinion and no one asks me,” Koepka said in response to the couple's comments.

“I don't know where I'm going, so I don't know what everyone else is doing. Right now I'm focused on understanding how to play better, how to play better in the majors, how this team will win, and how to play better again next year. Everyone else seems to know more than me.”

Koepka confirmed on Wednesday that he frequently talks to the couple, and the couple even texted Koepka after his comments were published last week.

“Yeah, I think Fred texted me, I think the comments came out,” he said. “I've talked a lot with Fred, but I haven't explained too much about what's going on.”

These were the comments from the couple. “I'm always talking to Brooks Koepka. I love Brooks Koepka. And I'm not going to say anything extra besides talking to him all the time… and he wants to come back, I say it. I believe he really wants to go back and play. [PGA] tour. “

The couple's comments spurred on Liv Golf fellow Phil Mickelson, who later commented to tear the couple apart in a social media message he later omitted. If that's true, he took the creek's thing [sic] Timeline and story control. Either way, this is a low-class jerk move by Fred. ”
