Brother of Montana fugitive sentenced to life for unrelated murder conviction

Fox News Digital has confirmed that a Montana man, whose brother is serving a life sentence, is currently a fugitive after allegedly shooting and killing four people at a bar.

William Brown, the fugitive, received a sentence of 110 years back in 2002 for causing the death of another individual in Anaconda, Montana. The majority of that sentence, 100 years, was for murder, while the remaining 10 years were for using deadly weapons during the act.

William’s brother, 45-year-old Michael Paul Brown, is said to have committed the shootings at the Anaconda bar on Friday morning. Reports indicate that he opened fire around 10 AM, resulting in the deaths of 59-year-old Daniel Edwin Bailey, 64-year-old Nancy Lauretta Kelly, 70-year-old David Allen Leach, and 74-year-old Tony Wayne Palm, all residents of Anaconda.

A significant manhunt has been ongoing in central Montana’s mountainous areas as authorities work to locate Brown.

Details surrounding the motive for the shooting remain unclear.

On Friday evening, law enforcement released a brown photo of a shirtless man in a black shirt who appeared to be climbing a concrete staircase. They also mentioned that they had located a white Ford F-150 truck belonging to Brown.

A SWAT team conducted a raid on his home but did not find him there.

As of a recent update on Sunday night, the search for Brown has included both air and ground resources.

Michael Brown served in the Army from January 2001 to May 2005 and later joined the National Guard, serving from April 2006 to March 2008. His deployment in Iraq spanned from February 2004 to March 2005, and he left the service with the rank of Sergeant.

He also participated in the Montana National Guard from April 2006 to March 2009.
