Ohio Republican Senate candidate Bernie Moreno appeared outside Sen. Sherrod Brown’s (D-Ohio) office on Thursday morning to reportedly declare that his cover-up of President Joe Biden’s “mental decline” is “done.”
In a post on Thursday, Andrew Desiderio, a senior congressional reporter for Punchbowl News, shared a photo of Moreno appearing to be talking with several reporters outside Brown’s office.
“Outside the office of Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Ohio Republican Senate candidate Bernie Moreno accused Brown of ‘covering up’ Biden’s ‘mental decline,'” Desiderio wrote.

Samantha Jo Ross Washington Examiner Moreno noted that Brown and Biden were “close friends” for many years and that Brown was well aware of Biden’s “declining cognitive functioning.”
“Sherrod Brown was very close friends with Joe Biden, for decades. He knew Joe Biden was in cognitive decline,” he added.

According to a third report by Fox News Radio’s Capitol Hill correspondent Ryan Schmeltz, Moreno also said Brown “is running from the lies now because he knows it’s over… People have seen something that once they’ve seen it, they’re never going to forget,” an apparent reference to Biden’s disastrous performance in the June debate, whose appearance sparked rumors on the left about the possibility of him replacing him as the presumptive nominee.

Notably, Brown, who is seeking reelection in 2022 in a heavily Republican state where Republicans won every statewide election, said Monday that voters have “legitimate doubts” about the president but refuse to abandon Biden.
“I’m not a critic,” Brown said. Said “I’ve spoken to people across Ohio who have legitimate questions about whether the president should continue campaigning, and I will continue to listen to them,” he said Monday, according to NBC News.
Brown declined to comment Tuesday on whether he should withdraw from the race.
“Do you think he should resign?” a Fox News reporter asked Brown.

“I said what I wanted to say,” Brown replied.

Commenting on the video in X’s post, Moreno stressed that Brown was “not saying that he’s concerned about the fact that the president is clearly in decline.”
Please pay attention Sherrod Brown He doesn’t say he’s concerned about the fact that the president’s cognitive abilities are clearly declining. His only concern is how Biden’s cognitive decline, which Sherrod helped cover up for years, will affect Democrats *politically* in November. https://t.co/ALQahbV5WC
