In a three-minute support video on Instagram, the 75-year-old musician sat at a restaurant counter and praised Vice President Harris and Gov. Tim Walz, while criticizing former President Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump is the most dangerous presidential candidate in my lifetime,” he said, adding that Trump “removes democracy,” even though nothing of the sort happened in President Trump's first term. ”, echoing liberal cable news talking points that say

“His contempt for the sanctity of our Constitution, the sanctity of our democracy, the sanctity of the rule of law, and the sanctity of the peaceful transfer of power should disqualify him from ever holding the office of president again. ” Springsteen continued. “It doesn't have to be this way,” he added.

The New Jersey native cited “freedom, social justice, equal opportunity, and the right to be and love whoever we want” as some of the things he feels make “America great,” and these are the policies of Kamala Harris. suggested that.

But to those familiar with Mr. Springsteen, his support comes as no surprise. He has been a staunch supporter of the party for many years, supporting Joe Biden, John Kerry, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton before endorsing the current Democratic nominee in 2024. It's a body.

“Everyone sees things differently, but as a fellow citizen I respect your choice. But like you, I only have one vote, and it's the most I have. That's one of our most valuable assets. That's why we're casting Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on November 5th,” Springsteen concluded.

Social media users agreed and commented on the news supporting Harris.

“Springsteen talks about Kamala like, 'Because we vagrants were born to run for president,'” said one X user.
