Brutal Bronx hit-and-run caught on video with one in custody: NYPD

There is one person in custody in the NYPD for a brutal Bronx hit-and-run captured on security camera footage.

According to the NYPD, he was hit by a 22-year-old SUV on the corner of E 228th Street and Laconia Avenue in the Edenwald section of 228th Avenue and Laconia Avenue.

Video of the incident, obtained by the New York Post, shows a man jogging across the street as the black SUV approaches the intersection.

As the 22-year-old victim approached the corner, the SUV speeded up and attacked him, jumping into the intersection.

The SUV then runs down the street and escapes the scene.

The victim suffered a head injury and was taken to Jacobian Medical Center, where he remained stable.
