Brute stabs straphanger in the eye at Union Square subway station

The crazy attacker stabbed Strafanger with his eyes at a lower subway station in Manhattan early Saturday morning.

The 57-year-old male victim was at 14th Avenue Square Station when oral conflict broke out at about 12:46am, around 12:46am, the NYPD said.

Police say the suspect escaped from the station on foot before plunging an unknown sharp object into the victim's right eye.

Surveillance footage released by authorities shows a young attacker looking over his shoulder, apparently walking quietly, walking over his shoulder before jumping through the subway turnstyle with a brown paper bag and an unknown black object.

The suspect was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, a black leather jacket, black gloves, dark pants and white sneakers. The video will be displayed.

The first responder transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue for stable treatment, police said.

It was unclear whether the attacker and the victim knew each other.
