Bryan Cranston asked James Corden to bring him coffee during their first meeting.
The “Breaking Bad” alum teased that the former “Late Late Show” host might have been his waiter during a chance meeting in Los Angeles years ago.
Appeared in “Today with Hoda and Jenna.” The two recalled their first interaction, and Corden reflected on it with humor.
“My story is very emotional for me right now, because my story is meeting Bryan Cranston for the first time, and that was a big moment in my life,” Corden said.
“My wife and I went to Los Angeles for the first time in our lives and spent the entire morning watching ‘Breaking Bad’ Season 2.”
According to Corden, the pair decided to go out for lunch after binge-watching the hit show in the morning.
“I go to lunch, and who else would walk into the restaurant but Bryan Cranston? To this day, I’ve never been more star-struck than I was in that moment,” Corden recalled.
Unfortunately for the British, however, this encounter was not unique for Cranston.
“I went in there and said, ‘Brian…'” Corden recalled, while Cranston admitted, “Then right away I said, ‘Can I have some more coffee?'”
The “Gavin and Stacey” alum admitted the misunderstanding and continued: “That’s completely true.”
He continued, “I said, ‘Brian, you don’t know me, I’m an actor in England and I was watching the show this morning. It’s incredible.” And he said, “Thank you, can I have a Diet Coke without ice?” “said. ”

Corden appeared on the show to promote his new SiriusXM interview series, “My Life with James Corden,” while Cranston was promoting his latest film, “Argyle.”
Last year, Cranston revealed that he plans to retire from acting in 2026.
The 67-year-old said he wanted to “even out” his marriage to wife Robin Dearden, 70, to whom he has been married since 1989.
Cranston wants to “change the paradigm” of the union, and to do so, he is desperately closing down his production company and planning to sell his half stake in Dos Hombres, a mezcal company he co-founded with former co-star Aaron. Pole.
