John Walsh, the legendary host of “America's Most Wanted” who launched the show after losing his own son to a brutal infant kidnapper in 1981, was murdered in his off-campus home. He is giving advice to the parents of four University of Idaho students. November 2022.

“Being the parent of a murdered child is the worst thing you can imagine,” he said. “It's excruciating. It breaks your heart in two. And you know what? You're going to live with it until the day you die. You'll never forget it. There's no such thing as closure.”
