A hand-drawn sketch from a survivor of the invasion massacre that killed four students at the University of Idaho shows the “ski mask”-like face worn when he entered her off-campus home in November 2022 and killed her friend.
The roommate, identified only as a DM in court documents, told her that she had no idea of suspect Brian Coberger and that she had not recognized him even after being shown a mug shot of him after her arrest, but she told investigators she saw a masked man with “bulging eyebrows.”
Also, in another unsealed filing on Thursday, prosecutors alleged that Kohberger purchased a black balaclava from a sports goods store in Dick in January 2022.

“This is the same type of mask explained by a DM who was seen wearing a man in his residence on November 13, 2022,” the prosecutor wrote.
The sketch was included in a defense filing asking the judge to block the DM from referring to “bubbly brows” after police documents showed that police documents used terminology to describe the intruder.
The defense argues that the DM only used the phrase after “suggestive” interrogation during the course of five interviews with police. Court documents also revealed that she had a wall of photographs and artwork in her bedroom, showing her face and eyebrows.

Detectives first asked about the intruder's brows in their second interview with police on the day of the murder, according to defense counsel Elisa Massosus.
