A Burger King cook who hasn't missed a single day of work for nearly 30 years and received a small gift for his dedication says it was a Christmas miracle, with 40 photos gathered from a now-viral video. I bought my first home for over $1,000.
Kevin Ford closed on his new Pahrump, Nevada home on December 13th, after paying $177,000 for the 846-square-foot, three-bed, two-bath home, and shared the news with his followers on social media. According to TMZ.
“I wanted to show you something, what you're capable of, what you've done for me, just a hard-working guy.” Ford said in a video posted to Instagram. “I know I need to be a little more creative. I'm going to get rid of the people I don't like. I know this is mine, not the mansion.”
Mr. Ford celebrated his fast food franchise's 27th anniversary without missing a day of work.
However, the chain gifted him a backpack containing movie tickets, a Starbucks cup, and a mixture of candy and chocolate.
A video of Ford opening a present has taken the internet by storm as his daughter crowdsources funds to allow her grandfather to meet his grandson.
“We are in no way asking for money and he is not expecting money,” Selina Ford wrote on GoFundMe in June 2022.
The family raised more than $439,000, but ended up keeping about $350,000 of it because GoFundMe was a “significant portion.” Ford told TMZ.
After Mr. Ford's story spread online, NBC's “Today” arranged for him to fly to New York and have his grandchildren visit him live on television. It was the only day Ford had missed work in the past 28 years. .
Ford still works at the same Burger King at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, and his commute to work is an hour, but employees told TMZ he doesn't mind because he loves driving.
“I want to thank everyone in the world for what you've done for me, homeownership, something I never thought would be possible,” said Ford. Added during tour.
Mr Ford credits his viral fame to the strangers who saved his life, saying he was “depressed” but now has been given a roof over his head and is spending more time with his family. He claims that he is now able to meet.

Ford says the new pad will feature a covered front deck with a living area to enjoy views of the nearby mountains, and a fully fenced backyard with two cabins.
Ford told the outlet that she plans to use the money to further renovate her new home, give her daughter some cash for her home, and put the rest toward her retirement.
