A Missouri resident called 911 around 3 a.m. Wednesday to report a robbery in progress to the Camden County Sheriff's Office. said.
housing in question reportedly is located on Highway 7 North in Camdenton, a city about 250 miles southeast of Kansas City and next to the Lake of the Ozarks.
“Let’s try it in a small town!”
The resident told authorities that while he shot one of the robbers, the other robber was heading northbound in a dark-colored vehicle, the Sheriff's Office said.
According to the sheriff's office, officers responded to the home and medical personnel provided first aid to the suspect, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies are actively working at the crime scene, the sheriff's office said, adding that authorities do not currently believe there is an active threat to the public. .

- “These comments alone should indicate that others… are considering taking a break.[ing] and enter[ing] If you want to make it home alive, this is not the place to be,” said another user. warned.
