Authorities are investigating the death of a woman on the opening day of the 2024 Burning Man festival in the Black Rock Desert, about 100 miles north of Reno, Nevada, on Sunday.
Paramedics at the festival were called to a report of an unresponsive woman but were unable to revive her. GuardianWomen Identified She plays 39-year-old Kendra Fraser.
“We are awaiting the results of the autopsy and toxicology tests to determine Kendra's cause and manner of death,” Sheriff Jerry Allen said in a statement Monday. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kendra's family and friends.”

This year's festival was set to begin on August 25 but was briefly postponed after a rainstorm hit the area, with authorities halting traffic to the site for a time to allow the water on the ground to drain.
Festival organisers expect this year's event to attract more than 70,000 attendees and will offer a range of attractions including an “orgy dome”.

The paper added that pleasure dome operators take care to ensure that orgy-goers do not become too intoxicated to consent.
One woman told media that seeing other people having sex in the dome “makes it easier for her to feel like she can do it too.”
Other events on offer to participants include group orgasm sessions, daily flogging, full-nude oil wrestling and much more.
Last year's event was thrown into chaos when heavy rains closed roads and turned the entire area into a muddy quagmire. It took days to evacuate all the cars and hundreds of attendees had to walk miles to get out of the event.
