WNBA star Kaitlyn Clark has been removed from the U.S. Olympic women’s basketball team roster, according to multiple reports, and Blaze News columnist Jason Whitlock suspects that basketball’s key decision-makers overlooked Clark out of fear of Black Lives Matter and LGBTQIA activists.
USA Today Christine Brennan The paper first reported just after midnight Saturday that Clark had not been selected for the women’s Olympic basketball team.
Brennan Added“By leaving Caitlin Clark off the 2024 Olympic team, USA Basketball missed a huge opportunity to showcase one of the most dominant yet neglected teams in sports. I write this as someone who has covered USA Women’s Basketball at the Olympics since 1984.”
The two “longtime USA basketball veterans with decades of experience in women’s basketball” spoke on condition of anonymity. USA Today Clarke was not selected because “concerns about how Clarke’s millions of fans would react to limited playing time on a well-loaded roster were a factor in the decision.”

Sportswriter Michael McCarthy I got it.““Removing Caitlin Clark from the Olympic team is a terrible move for NBC Sports, which pays billions of dollars for U.S. television rights. She would undoubtedly have enthralled Olympic television audiences just as she did in college and now as a professional athlete. This decision is shortsighted to say the least.”
As BlazeNews previously reported, Clarke nearly When she plays, the WNBA’s average viewership triples and attendance doubles.
“For the first time in American history, women have the biggest star in sports and they don’t know what to do with her.”
Whitlock pointed to a possible culture war as a reason for ignoring Clark.
The host of Blaze Media’s “Fearless with Jason Whitlock” X Social Media Pages “Women’s basketball decision makers are not stupid. They have been bullied by the bigots of the BLM-LGBTQIA+Silent P Alphabet Mafia,” he said Saturday.
Whitlock added, “It’s the same cowardly act that erected the George Floyd statue, made Juneteenth a federal holiday, legalized same-sex marriage, allowed ‘kids’ drag shows and allowed ‘Leah Thomas’ to swim… They keep making us offers we can’t refuse.”
Whitlock concluded, “The Mafia hates Kate because she refuses to openly worship Yas Queen, she won’t use scissors and she sleeps with the fishes.”
In another tweet, Whitlock Declared“She can replace any of the 12. She doesn’t need any of them to win the gold medal.”
The U.S. women’s Olympic basketball team has not lost since 1992 and has won a record seven consecutive gold medals.
Whitlock Added“This whole ‘who should be off the team’ debate is ridiculous, as if it matters. For the first time in American history, a woman has the biggest star in sports and they don’t know what to do with her. This is a comedy. Everyone’s a Tito. She’s a Michael. Stop it.”
Whitlock stated“They hate Kate.”
