Sports analyst Dan Dakich expressed his criticism of Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White’s indirect answer concerning a letter from the Republican Party directed at the WNBA. The letter raised alarms regarding the treatment of Caitlin Clark, pointing to suggestions that some criticism might have racial undertones. Dakich voiced his concerns about the coach not defending her star player and the apparent lack of backing from the league, especially with Congress now involved in the discussion.

Seattle Storm’s Home Struggles Continue

The Seattle Storm faced challenges at home entering their game on Tuesday night, with a disappointing 4-10 record at Climate Pledge Arena against the visiting Indiana Fever.

Things didn’t improve for the Storm, as they succumbed to the Fever, who secured a 103-95 victory, led by Caitlin Clark’s commanding 32 points. Notably, Seattle’s Natisha Hedeman topped all scorers with an impressive 33 points.

Clark’s teammate, Kelsey Mitchell, also had a strong performance, shooting 9 for 18 from the field and contributing 28 points.

Indiana took a solid lead, ending the first quarter ahead by 17 points. After the halftime break, Seattle made an effort to reduce the deficit, bringing it down to just four points in the fourth quarter. However, the Storm’s comeback fell short as Indiana improved to a season record of 18-10.

In an interesting turn, Fever center Aliyah Boston experienced an unsettling fall during the second quarter after a screen, resulting in a knee injury. She grabbed her right knee immediately following a foul called by the referee and was assisted off the court. Initially listed as questionable to return, she was subsequently ruled out.

The Fever are set to continue their West Coast trip with a matchup against the Portland Fires on Friday.
