Caitlyn Clark recently touched on the relationship dynamic between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce as they’ve stepped back from the public eye for a bit.
When asked about the couple possibly attending an Indiana Fever basketball game this season, the WNBA star shared her uncertainty. “Oh, I don’t know,” Clark said in an interview with USA Today. “I mean, I hope so.”
“It feels like they’re enjoying their time off,” the 23-year-old continued. “They’re kind of in vacation mode now. I hope they’re relishing this break, but I’m sure they’ll be cheering for the Fever regardless.”
The friendship between Clark and Swift took shape last November when she attended multiple nights of the ERAS tour at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
In a chat with Time Magazine, Clark recounted a memorable experience where she met both Kelce and Swift’s mother, Andrea, while in a private suite at one of the shows. She mentioned that Swift gifted her four bags of ERAS tour merchandise along with personalized letters.
According to Clark, one note indicated that Swift and Kelce are “excited” to catch one of her WNBA games. “So I hope they’re enjoying a little break from the spotlight, but they’ll definitely be supporting the Fever,” she added.
The music superstar also extended an invitation for Clark to join her at a Kansas City Chiefs game, which Clark enthusiastically accepted for the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium in January. They were later seen cheering together after Kelce scored a touchdown against the Houston Texans.
While Swift and Kelce have kept a low profile following their disappointment in Super Bowl 2025, they did make an appearance together on Mother’s Day in Philadelphia.
Clark later expressed on the “Swarmcast” podcast how “incredible” the experience was for her.
