Caitlin Tracey’s 911 call made months before the tech executive was discovered 'crushed' after a fall has been made public.

Tragic Incident in Chicago Involving Tech Executive

A Chicago tech executive tragically fell to her death from a 20-story condominium in October. During the 911 call made shortly before her demise, Caitlyn Tracy, 36, desperately urged dispatchers to “hurry” as her husband reportedly attacked her.

In the call, Tracy described her husband, Adam Becketling, as “drunk” and claimed he had “pushed her down.” The call, made on January 13, 2024, was filled with fear, as she said, “He hit me before,” highlighting a history of domestic violence.

In what seemed to be an emotional plea around 8:30 PM, Tracy’s panic became evident, leading to inconsistencies in her statements. Emergency responders found her in a vulnerable state, with visible injuries including “slashes on lips and other red marks,” according to a felony complaint.

Tracy informed police that Becketling, a known tax lawyer in Chicago, had attacked her and taken some of her belongings following their argument. Becketling was arrested and charged with domestic abuse, reportedly advising Tracy to tell officers that her 911 call was “accidental.”

Subsequently, police were called back to their residence in August 2024 after another domestic disturbance. Dispatch recordings noted “screams and fuss” before the calls abruptly ended.

The previous November, Tracy obtained a protection order against Becketling after multiple reports of domestic battery. Unfortunately, just before her death, Tracy passed away under tragic circumstances while Becketling faced a trial in Michigan.

Becketling had initially reported Tracy missing before her body and dismembered leg were discovered on October 27, 2024. He was detained and questioned but later released without any charges.

The Cook County medical examiner ruled that Tracy died from “multiple injuries” resulting from a “falling from height,” but her death remains classified as “undecided.” Despite the horrific nature of her death, no charges have been made in connection with it.
