Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the Bears, and actress Madeline Klein caught attention online after they were seen together at the Illinois Summer Smash Music Festival over the weekend.
Just last month, rumors swirled around Williams regarding a breakup with his high school girlfriend, Alina Tyregod. At the festival, he mingled with friends, but there were no public displays of affection noted between him and Klein, even though they were together at the 2024 NFL Draft, where Chicago made him their first overall pick.
Williams also made headlines last month attending the F1 Miami Grand Prix without Tyregod, which fueled speculation about their split.
Around the same time, excerpts from Seth Wickersham’s book, “American Kings: The Biography of a Quarterback,” featured Williams discussing the NFL Draft, emphasizing that he wanted the freedom to choose where to kick off his professional career.
Later, he pointed out his dedication to the Bears, stating, “I love being here.” In the meantime, it seems Tyregod has erased traces of their relationship from her social media.
Williams hasn’t publicly addressed the relationship rumors yet. It’s been about six months since he and Tyregod made their first red carpet appearance together during the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit, coinciding with what would have been their one-year anniversary last October.
Despite having previously shared posts featuring her on social media in late 2023, this event marked their first public engagement.
Meanwhile, Williams is settling into his first NFL offseason under head coach Ben Johnson’s inaugural season.
The rookie reported to Halas Hall for training camp last Friday, while the veteran players joined on Sunday.
Last season, Williams threw a league-high 68 passes, showcasing potential despite the team ending with a 5-12 record. In 2024, he completed 62.5% of his passes, achieving 20 touchdowns against six interceptions.
The Bears are set to kick off their 2025 season in Chicago on September 8, with a matchup against the Vikings.
