California city councilwoman cries as FBI arrests husband at Walmart — he’s an illegal alien with DUI on long rap sheet

California city councillors allege that she is being politically targeted after her husband was detained by FBI agents in the parking lot of immigrant detainee Walmart.

Jadira Perez is on the city council in Coachella, but she says she will resign from her office if her husband is deported.

“Family separation is not right, it's inhuman!”

Perez recorded the video as led by her husband saying that she was an FBI agent, but she initially attempted to remain anonymous.

“My family just parted ways. They took my child's father. They're hopeless cry of help,” Perez said in the video.

She's later Recognised On KESQ-TV, the man met in 1994 and was charged with drug possession before being deported in 1995. He illegally returned to the United States and married Perez. She says he has been charged with two charges of misdemeanor assault and driving since then under the influence.

a statement ICE said 51-year-old Isidro Zimenez had been captured in “target enforcement measures” and he was a Mexican citizen. Contrary to what Perez said, Ice said Jimenez was convicted in 2007 on one count of DUI, in 1998, in serious injury to a spouse, and in 2023, since 2023, in assault with a deadly weapon.

She added that Jimenez was her biggest supporter in the campaign trajectory.

“He motivated me to fight for transparency, unity and security in our city.” She added.

Jimenez was released on bonds on Tuesday and is scheduled for a hearing in April.

“People are dirty,” Perez added. “But I will continue to fight for my community until the very end.”

President Donald Trump has promised that massive deportation will be the focus of his second term, and so far, ICE has surged deportation efforts despite protests from illegal alien advocates.
