His new podcast, California Government Gavin Newsom announced On Tuesday, the Menendez brothers will hold a parole board hearing in mid-June for the governor's office to determine whether generosity should be granted.
While Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman discusses recent opposition to the Menendez Brothers' legal battle for re-recognition, Newsmom announced that Lyle and Eric Menendez will go individually before the California parole board on June 13, suing Clementy from the governor.
The brothers are in prison for killing their parents in 1989.
“DA Now, the new DA is pulling back on recommending that it be re-authored by the Menendez brothers,” Newsom said on his “This is Gavin Newsom” podcast. “But that doesn't affect the ongoing process. A review of my generosity in my office and an independent risk assessment that will be concluded by a parole hearing on June 13th. And on June 13th, both Lyle and Eric Menendez will hold their final hearing independently.”

Newsom explained that after a parole board hearing, a report will be submitted to his office for consideration when deciding whether to commute the brother's text.
“The report will then be submitted for consideration on June 13th,” Newsom said. “We will submit that report to the judge for review, which will place an emphasis on an independent analysis of whether to advance generous applications to support commuting in this case.”

The brothers were each convicted of two counts of first-degree murder in the murder of their parents, Jose and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez on August 20, 1989, and sentenced to life in prison.
Recent California law allows for re-recognition of hearings, with the exception of the June parole board hearing, the brothers are scheduled for a re-standard hearing on March 20th and 21st. Before that, the brothers had exhausted all the legal paths for freedom.
The hearing was granted by former district attorney George Gascon.
On Monday, Hochman filed an 88-page court asking the judge to withdraw his initial order for a recognizing hearing, claiming that the brothers barely show sue and are reluctant to be held responsible for the murder.

“As a full investigation into the records revealed, Menendez's brothers never get clean, admitting to lying about their self-defense and potential perjury, Lyle's girlfriend, that his mother tried to be perjured by their friends for lies for lies raping their family violently, and trying to get their handgun.
Brother's lawyer, Mark Jelagos, attacked Hochman in an interview on Tuesday “Today.”

“This Da was determined,” he said. “I had 22 families who were careful, signed on and met with the DA's office, and they said, 'Stop getting us back injured.' At that meeting, he was able to tell him he wasn't interested in it. ”

“They are not interested in the victims,” Geragos said, referring to the family of the Menendez brothers. “They didn't let the victim know that they would make this decision.”
“He's abusing them almost continuously with his lies and his lies,” he said.
Shortly after the murder, the brothers claimed that their parents were victims of a mafia hit. When it was revealed that they were responsible for the murder, they claimed they acted in self-defense after a lifetime of physical and sexual abuse by their parents.

From 1993 to 1994, their first trial ended with misconduct. They were retried and found guilty in 1996.
