California Republicans Highlight Democrat Rep. Dave Min's 'Real Nature' in Misleading Assertions About 'Radical Right' Violence

California Republicans Target Rep. Dave Min’s Comments on Violence

California’s Orange County Republicans recently highlighted remarks made by Rep. Dave Min (D-CA) regarding what he termed “toxic violence” from “radical rights.” On Friday, they shared screenshots of two of Min’s posts, which initially condemned political violence, regardless of its source.

However, in another post, Min reacted to the identification of Charlie Kirk’s suspected assassin as a magazine distributor. He suggested that Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and other GOP figures, who had previously called for revenge against the “radical left,” should now address the violence linked to the radical right.

The OC Republican group remarked on Min’s rapid shift in messaging: “Rep. Dave took 24 hours to transform from the post below to his current stance. One was clearly designed for public relations.”

Charlie Kirk, an advocate for free speech, was tragically shot during an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, was characterized by a high school friend as having increasingly extreme political views, with family members described as “very intense Republicans.”

In the wake of Kirk’s death, former President Donald Trump stated, “It’s time for all Americans and the media to grapple with the reality that violence and murder can result from the demonizing of those who oppose you in the harshest ways.” He added, “For years, radical leftists labeled great Americans like Charlie as akin to Nazis and other infamous criminals. This rhetoric directly contributes to the terrorism we see in our nation, and it must stop.”

In response to an OC Republican post, Michael Maxenty, a Republican challenger to Min, shared his perspective. Others echoed the sentiment that the divisive language prevalent in political discourse needs reevaluation, with one commenter urging Republicans to focus on truth and constructive discussions, offering blessings for the Kirk family.
