California teenager Braun Levi dies in accident involving suspected drunk driver, community grieves.

Authorities report that a high school student in Southern California was tragically killed on Sunday after being assaulted. The Manhattan Beach Police Department arrested 33-year-old Jeniabert on charges of DUI and murder shortly after midnight, following the discovery of a person lying beside a car in the street. The victim, identified as 18-year-old Brown Levy, was a senior at Loyola High School, set to graduate soon, and had plans to attend the University of Virginia.

Levy had an impressive record as a four-year varsity starter on the tennis team, even winning the league championship just recently. Besides tennis, he served as the ultimate team captain, participated in student council, and managed the volleyball team. His school’s track and field club expressed deep sorrow on social media, calling him a beloved member of the community with a vibrant personality.

It’s particularly heartbreaking, as Brown’s family had recently lost their home to a fire in the Palisades, prompting a move to South Bay. Following the news of his death, friends took to Instagram to share heartfelt messages, noting the significant impact he had on everyone he met.

The principal of Loyola High School praised Brown in a message to the staff and students, describing him as a source of light and inspiration for all. A prayer vigil was held in his honor that very evening, marking a somber moment for the community.
