Caller Asks C-SPAN If They Will Cover Report Doug Emhoff Slapped One-Time Girlfriend

A caller to C-SPAN's “Washington Journal” asked Friday whether the station would cover a report that Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff slapped his then-girlfriend in 2012.

Three friends of Emhoff's unidentified ex-girlfriend spoke. daily mail Vice President Kamala Harris' husband Emhoff slapped her during an alcohol-fueled argument over whether she had cheated on him with another man after a benefit event for the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR). “The first thing you guys talk about is usually the top news or – oh, but today it was all about Trump. That's all we hear about Trump and how bad he is. That you got your nanny pregnant, or something like that?”

Emhoff previously admitted to having an affair with his nanny before the end of his first marriage. He and Harris married in 2014 while she was California's attorney general.

“I think you're referring to the Daily Mail article, which was also reported. This is from page 2 of the Washington Times. The Washington Times says that Kamala… “Vice President Harris' husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, allegedly assaulted his then-girlfriend during a trip to France more than a decade ago, according to a bombshell report in the Daily Mail,” McArdle said. He answered: “The ex-girlfriend, a New Jersey lawyer whom the Daily Mail referred to simply as Jane, provided travel documents proving she and Emhoff had spent time together at the location at the time of the incident. .”

“Four years later, then-Senator Kamala Harris criticized Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during her Senate confirmation hearing related to sexual assault charges, one of the people told the Daily Mail. “At that time, Jane detailed the allegations of violence against her,” Mr McArdle continued. “The Washington Times article was originally reported by the Daily Mail.”
