Cam Newton caught in wild brawl at 7-on-7 football event

Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton fought off several people in a scuffle that was caught on camera at a 7-on-7 football event over the weekend.

Details are limited, but it appears the fight was by invitation only. “We Ball Sports” 7v7 Tournament It happened in Atlanta, and video of the incident went viral on social media Sunday afternoon.

The video appears to show Newton attempting it with some of the top-shelf performers he teamed up with for the event.

The incident began when several men shoved Newton under a tent, whose C1N team was also participating in the tournament, before the altercation moved behind a tree cover and a scuffle ensued. It continued.

In the 22-second video shown on X, Newton showed no signs of losing his upper hand, fending off at least two others and even forcing one into a headlock.

Security guards eventually intervened along with uniformed officers and pushed the others back.

It’s unclear what sparked the scuffle, but Fox News said the incident may be related to an Instagram post by Newton and Top Shelf Performance general manager Steph Brown. That’s what it means.

TopShelf Performance is a national 18U 7-on-7 football program that also trains receivers at the high school, college, and professional levels. According to USA Today.

Newton, Top Shelf Performance, We Ball Sports and local police have not made any public comment on the viral incident.

Newton played 11 seasons in the NFL and was drafted No. 1 overall by the Panthers in 2011, spending 10 of those seasons in Carolina.
