Camila Giorgi retired from tennis this week without any warning.
The 32-year-old Italian pro, a four-time WTA Tour champion who fell short to Serena Williams in the 2018 Wimbledon quarter-finals, was listed by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). List of retired players on tuesday.
This document removed her from the list of athletes subject to drug testing.
Her retirement date is May 7, 2024.

Giorgi, whose last appearance was at the Miami Open in March, is currently pursuing a career as a lingerie model, Marca newspaper reported, adding that she had other fashion interests besides tennis.
Giorgi is currently ranked 116th in the WTA rankings after achieving a career-high singles world ranking of 26th in 2018.
The athlete has a large following on social media, with 732,000 followers on Instagram. He also owns the fashion brand “Giomira”.
Giorgi recently played in the Miami Open, losing in the second round to world No. 1 Iga Swiatek.
She has a record of 3 wins and 5 losses in the 2024 tournament.
Giorgi raised eyebrows by not playing in the French Open, which starts on May 20 and runs until June 9.
Giorgi reached the round of 16 at the US Open in 2013 and Roland Garros in 2022.
