Unconventional Tactics in Pratt’s Campaign
In a unique approach to the Los Angeles mayoral race, political aide to Spencer Pratt has shared insights into their unexpected campaign strategies.
Even though Pratt didn’t secure a spot in the runoff, he remains determined to fight against what he perceives as socialist influences in the city.
“This was an experiment that completely flipped the traditional political paradigm, so there were no political advisors. It was just me and Spencer,” stated Gabriel Mann, Pratt’s creative director, during a recent podcast interview.
During their conversation, Mann recounted some of the unusual methods they employed to communicate Pratt’s message. According to him, they lacked significant support, which prompted them to devise their own ground campaign.
“We ended up spending about $100,000 to engage the Bloods and Crips for ballot harvesting in their neighborhoods,” Mann revealed, emphasizing the legality and absurdity of the situation.
He noted that this tactic surprised many, particularly during their events in South Central, which Mann described as unexpectedly vibrant. “We were having a good time,” he added. When asked about local reactions, Mann responded, “Outrageous!”
Co-host Jonathan “Romes” Keeperman mentioned that South Central isn’t known for high voter turnout, to which Mann replied, “True, but those who did engage were really passionate.” He recounted a poignant encounter with a mother whose daughter was struggling with addiction, where he reassured her with, “Come talk to Spencer. We’re going to work this out.”
The segment concluded with footage of Pratt comforting the mother regarding her daughter’s situation.
Mann continued, “While others might brand their campaigns as grassroots, ours truly embodied that spirit. It was an experiment that turned the usual political norms upside down, devoid of conventional advisers. Just Spencer and me.”
Since the jungle primary, Pratt has also released a video alleging possible election fraud.
