Campaign organization linked to Mamdani focuses on at-risk House Republicans in Pennsylvania

Campaign Firm Shifts Focus to Vulnerable Republicans

The campaign team that boosted Mayor-elect Zoran Mamdani’s message in New York City is now setting its sights on fragile Republican seats nationwide. They are specifically targeting two House Republicans in Pennsylvania: Rep. Rob Bresnahan and Rep. Ryan McKenzie.

With a small team of six, The Fight Agency has successfully managed over 300 elections and is honing in on the issues central to Mamdani’s campaign, such as affordability and housing challenges.

They express a shared sentiment: “If you’re doing everything right but still struggling, you’re not alone. It’s clear that the economy isn’t doing enough for many. If the next four decades mirror the last, the middle class in America may vanish.”

Republicans Target Key Democratic Races

As the House nears the 2026 midterm elections, the power dynamics become crucial. The GOP holds a slender three-seat majority, meaning losing just a couple of key positions could shift control. Pennsylvania, where Bresnahan and McKenzie represent, is a vital battleground alongside many others.

According to the Cook Political Report, five Republican-held districts in the state could be fiercely contested, with candidates expected to win by margins of five points or less.

In an effort to unseat Bresnahan, The Fight Agency has endorsed Paige Cognetti, a former mayor of Scranton. Bresnahan, a newcomer, won his seat in the 2024 election by a mere 1.6%.

Cognetti declared in a recent video, “We can stand tall against Washington, which exploits working individuals.”

Rebecca Katz, a strategist for Sen. Ruben Gallego, shared Cognetti’s campaign ad online. She encouraged others to support candidates who prioritize people over profits.

Cognetti stressed pride in working with The Fight Agency, acknowledging their impact on previous campaigns.

Progressive Democrats Unite After Mamdani’s Victory

Alongside Cognetti’s efforts, The Fight Agency is also backing Bob Brooks in his challenge against Republican Ryan McKenzie, who narrowly won his previous election by a single percentage point. Brooks lamented the challenges posed by “the burnout of working people” in Washington and expressed his determination to fight against big corporations.

Morris Katz, leading the agency’s work with Mamdani, shared Cognetti’s launch video and drew connections back to Brooks, who had previously returned the favor by promoting The Fight Agency’s work.

Linking Mamdani to Vulnerable Congressional Democrats

The Fight Agency has collaborated with Mamdani to generate engaging content, even using humor reminiscent of reality TV shows. At one point, Mamdani asked, “New York, can you accept this rose?” to connect with the audience.

Historically, the agency has favored candidates outside the mainstream, leaning towards progressive or unconventional individuals. Alongside Mamdani, they have worked with figures like Sen. Bernie Sanders and John Fetterman during his presidential campaign.

Currently, some prominent candidates supported by The Fight Agency include Graham Platner for Maine’s Senate race and Dan Osborn from Nebraska, both of whom are highlighted on the agency’s platform.

The Fight Agency has not yet responded to inquiries for further comments.
