A new father, who had traveled from Canada to the U.S. for a golf trip, was fatally shot in a drive-by incident early Wednesday morning, just a month after the birth of his child.
Giovanni Michael Robinson, 32, returned to his hotel in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin around midnight when the shooting occurred. He was found shot alongside officers and family members, as reported by local news outlets.
Authorities have confirmed that the Canadian visitor was pronounced dead at the scene, and no suspects have been identified in connection with the shooting.
Robinson had just enjoyed dinner with relatives, celebrating his first hole-in-one when the incident happened.
This trip marked one of his first outings since welcoming his wife, Rachel, and their newborn daughter last month.

Several family members plan to travel to Wisconsin to retrieve his body and ensure justice is served. His brother, Jacob, expressed his frustration, saying, “I just want to remember his name. I want justice.”

“He was truly a good guy, an amazing brother, and a wonderful husband. He was going to be a great dad. He was really looking forward to it,” Jacob shared.
He added, “This senseless act took away so much. Not just my brother—he’s also a son and a husband. And now my little niece, just weeks old, won’t really know her father.”
Robinson’s cousin described him as a true family man, highlighting how proud he was of becoming a father. He was always eager to seek advice from family and friends as he prepared for fatherhood.
“It’s heartbreaking to know he won’t be able to hold his baby girl again,” they reflected.
Investigators in Wisconsin are examining the area for dark-colored SUVs that may be connected to the shooting.
