Canadians Boo U.S. Anthem, Then Team USA wins the Game and the Fights

Have you ever seen a fight and had a breakout in a hockey game? Well, if you saw Team USA defeat Canada 3-1 in the 4 Nations faceoff last night, you saw just that.

The highly anticipated game between North American neighbours and hockey rivals began with three fights in the first nine seconds of regulation time.

But first, before a single glove was dropped, the Canadian crowd at Bell Centre in Montreal did what they did in the NHL games multiple times in recent weeks. Starspangled banner.

American players Matthew Tokachuk, Brady Tokachuk and JT Miller have decided to resolve the insult with their fist.

Matthew Tokachuk and Canada's Brandon Hagel dropped their gloves first.

His brother, Brady, called out Canada's Sam Bennett to do business.

It seemed like both sides actually started playing hockey after Tkachuk's brother informed the crowd that Americans were coming to play. They did it for about four seconds, until JT Miller shot a shot at Canada's Colton Pareiko and the gloves came off again.

Miller struggled to deal with the obvious and important size benefits of Pareco. But he's a bully for him after choosing the biggest man and taking him.

The battle subsided after the typical luxuries of the first nine seconds. But the hit wasn't. Both sides were abused by each other on the board. However, Americans certainly had physicality benefits. Specifically, Team USA has brutally and successfully made Conor McDavid the only Canadian to score in the game.

The match marked the first time the US and Canada met with the first team on the ice since the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

He also snapped the Americans' winning streak to their north neighbors, giving Team USA a spot on Thursday in the four-country face-off championship game.
