Car similar to Bryan Kohberger’s spotted near crime scene several times.

A recent report from “Dateline” indicates that Bryan Kohberger was observed multiple times near a residence in Moscow, Idaho, on the morning when four college students lost their lives. Kohberger is expected to face first-degree murder charges related to the deaths of University of Idaho students Xana Kernodle, 20, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, and Ethan Chapin, 20.

Data from FBI mobile phone records, highlighted by NBC’s “Dateline,” suggests Kohberger’s phone connected to a cell tower roughly 100 feet from King Road on nearly 12 occasions around the time of the students’ killings. These late-night drives reportedly began in July 2022 and continued into mid-August.

It seems that the late-night trips to the King Road area followed a pool party in Moscow to which Kohberger was invited.

Notably, Kohberger is said to have searched online for images of female students, including those who are now believed to be his victims.

In early October 2022, just weeks prior to the murders, records indicate that Kohberger had been in proximity to the same mobile tower three additional times. Forensic psychologist Gary Burkato mentioned that interpreting Kohberger’s intentions during these drives is complex, yet it might suggest he was “building his nerves” during his late-night outings.

It remains unclear if Kohberger stopped during any of these drives. FBI records indicate that he was recorded within 100 meters of King Road, including on November 7, always at night.

Surveillance videos show a white Hyundai Elantra, similar to Kohberger’s car, turning onto King Road on the night of the attacks. Just three minutes later, the vehicle left and made a right turn. It returned to King Road shortly after, leaving again at approximately 4:06 AM. At 4:20 AM, the car was spotted speeding away from King Road House soon after the news of the students’ deaths broke.

Cell phone data reveals that Kohberger called his father multiple times early on November 13, 2022. He was recorded returning to the King Road area at 9:12 AM, staying for about nine minutes before heading back to his residence in Pullman, Washington.

Authorities suspect Kohberger might have discarded evidence, potentially including a knife or clothing, after moving through nearby towns.

It’s important to note that there was no known previous encounter between Kohberger and the victims; they had no documented communication.

Timeline for November 13th, 2022:

  • 4 AM: Suspect arrives at the residence
  • Between 4 AM and 4:17 AM: Estimated time of the murders

Interestingly, on August 16, 2022, Kohberger reportedly searched for information on Ted Bundy, followed by research on serial killers.
