Things have gotten quite dramatic.
This Monday, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj found themselves at odds again on social media, continuing their ongoing feud.
The latest exchange kicked off when Minaj, 42, tweeted and quickly deleted a cryptic “$4.99,” apparently referring to Cardi’s album “Are You a Drama?”
During this heated back-and-forth, Minaj referred to Cardi, 32, as “Barney Dangerous” and took shots at her lyrics, making it clear she was throwing shade.
“abcdefgeeeeeee,” she tweeted, adding lines that seemed to mock Cardi’s situation, including some jabs about her pregnancy.
Minaj’s tweets included lines that hinted at playful insults regarding Cardi’s past and career moves. At times, it felt like she was leaning into the absurdity, saying things like, “Train/Run barefoot, still smells/Not yet. You. You. I can’t.”
In an unusual twist, she even used AI-generated images to depict Cardi as a character and labeled her comparisons to a well-known figure in a less-than-flattering light.
Meanwhile, Cardi seemed unfazed, responding by joking about making “blonde brownies and baking ribs” from her own kitchen that day.
The “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star seemed to relish in the feud, throwing in her own sarcastic comments as she reacted to Minaj’s jibes.
Furthermore, Cardi addressed Minaj’s concerns over album sales, stating that they were “not a gag.” She emphasized that, based on her years of experience in the music industry, comparisons should be drawn with peers like Rihanna and Drake, not just anyone in the field.
Cardi’s points made it clear where she stood: “I was in high school when you came out.”
As for Minaj bringing up her brother, Cardi didn’t hold back. She said, “Nothing is more annoying than a bored…”—and well, you can imagine where that went.
Ice Spice chimed in on the drama, tweeting a laughing emoji, which further fueled the spectacle.
Requests for comments from representatives for both artists went unanswered.
It’s worth noting that this conflict has a long history, dating back to 2018 when Cardi famously tossed her shoe during an altercation at a fashion event. Earlier this year, Minaj also had some very public spats online.
As of now, Cardi is looking forward to her fourth child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs.
